In Honor of the Holiday, Here’s Some of Disney / Pixar’s Greatest Easter Eggs!
Disney (and Pixar) have become well known for scattering Easter Eggs all throughout their movies. Mickey Mouse and Disney crossovers are pretty much everywhere, just another thing to look for when you’re watching a Disney movie for the umpteenth time.
How many of these did you spot the first time around?
Hans in Big Hero 6
Yep, that’s evil Prince Hans on the wanted poster on the bulletin board in Big Hero 6. Guess he’s wanted for being a total d-bag. Seriously, what did Anna ever see in him? He probably has a “Keep Calm and Chive On” t-shirt and is excited about the Entourage movie.
Mrs. Potts and Chip in Tarzan
Awwww! The cutest duo from Beauty and the Beast class up the joint in Tarzan as well. Too bad characters from one of the best Disney animated feature could do nothing to make one of the worst Disney animated features any better. You know it’s true!
Bambi’s mom in The Jungle Book
Bambi’s mom shows up in The Jungle Book as one of Shere Khan’s potential kills. Luckily she escapes, which is good because I can NOT take her dying again. Chill out with the mom deaths, Disney!
Pumbaa in The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Pumbaa sans Timon shows up as a statue in The Hunchback. It may not be the best Dsiney animated feature but I will alwasy be grateful it was made, because I really enjoy hearing little children scream “The Hunchback!” whenever they see the character. So wrong, it’s right.
The Beast in Aladdin
The Beast makes an appearance as one of the Sultan’s stacking toys. Honestly don’t know if I can ever watch Aladdin again after Robin Williams death. It’s too many feels for me still. I hope I can though, because he’s amazing in it!
Mulan in Lilo and Stitch
Is this even acceptable? It seems so borderline inappropriate. Mulan is one of my fave Disney movies though, so I’m happy to see her show up anywhere. It would be weird though if Mulan Wok served Mu Shu.
Aladdin’s Carpet in The Princess and the Frog
You probably missed this Easter Egg since hardly anyone saw this movie! The Princess and the Frog is so under-rated. This movie is GREAT. It should be way more popular. It also has one of the best all time Disney villains. Dr. Facilier is Scar-level creepy.
Flynn and Rapunzel in Frozen
OMG! I alwasy forget that Rapunzel gets a Mandy Moore makeover at the end. I didn’t recognize her without her long blonde braid.
